Okay, just had a CTF match on RBI. I am actually below average when it comes to gaming skills... but whatever.

There's one really annoying guy, nicknamed "Spocky". He joins a team, shoots at teammates, lasers them around the map and insults them. Once you shoot back he is all like "dont shot [sic] me!". After a while the team disintegrates, nothing works. Once he's bored he'll leave.

A really annoying troll. He really deserves a slap by his mommy.

And of course that round went down the drain. And as if things weren't bad enough someone shouts "gay)) team!".

How comes I suddenly feel like being on a CS server? Perhaps I'm getting senile, but is this the way people used to talk each other a few months ago?

It does seem that more unsportsmanlike players have been playing recently, perhaps because of the popularity of CTF.

Most ungentlemanly. He'd be kicked out of any gentlemens club for that sort of behaviour.



We've had knobs like this before and generally they get bored after a while. So long as servers have vote kicking allowed it'll be kept under control.

A great example of seen of a troll getting what he deserved was on Trackmania Nations, which tends to suffer from people flaming at each other in twelve languages all at the same time. Someone kept on calling votes to restart the round and they were all being turned down. One of the higher ranked players told him to stop it at which point he said that no one could stop him. At this point a vote was called to kick him and it was very quickly passed.
