Oh well having a good mouse for sure helps but i think its more important to find a good sensitivity. If its too low you have to move your arm/hand too much, have to often lift and move the mouse. If its too high you will have a hard time aiming when needed. when i began playing i used 4cm to turn around 360°.. now i'm at 10cm for a complete turn. I"m quite satisfied with it though i know some people use much more but i would not like it in close range combat. It also helps to use the same settings in every game :)

I heard Razer was good, some mouses are HECK of a lot of money there for a few extra macro button majig thingys

Edit: Whats the difference on the performance?

How do you want to measure performance for a mouse? I think the razer diamond back i have has about the right size for my 'normal' sized hands, it has a good grip, the software was ok back on windows (oh but a warmstart messed up a few buttons maybe a update does better by now?), i have no trouble with it on linux what so ever. The main buttons are really good, not slippy. big, the wheel never got my into trouble, i can reach the side buttons perfectly. It has 2000dpi unless i'm mistaken. It looks good. I do not see a reason to update to a copperhead or death adder (which is just righthanded).

yeah, that's how i set up the sensitivity on my mouse, how far the mouse has to move to rotate 360. i'm currently at about 55mpr (milimetres per revolution). :-)

Diamond Razerback here

Had a Logitech MX510 and rather liked it, never tried the MX518, went to the G5 and hated it (good mouse in general, but the side scrolling wheel makes gameplay terrible [at least for me])

Uhh i could no longer play with such a high sensitivity.. by now i'm even at 12cm/360°.. but i doubt that will change anymore now ;)
