Yeah but thats right now only a 'ugly' solution as it 'uses' an other games. Noone will see you play Nexuiz and also i wonder how xfire knows which master servers to query to get a list of servers? I guess right now you still have to use nexuiz to find a server? I had the idea xfire can also do that for other games? But that stuff is just quake3 compatible so all the xfire people would need to do is to take your 'code', create a new node for nexuiz, put in the three master servers we use and voila full nexuiz support.. But no.. they rather seem to like to ignore requests in their forum. Nexuiz does have similar player numbers as warsow which xfire does support it. I really think its wrong for them to ignore one of the two most played free games to date. But i'm just a little gamer not even using xfire..

Alas I have yet to find out how to get it so that you can join a server or even track kills. But you can talk in-game and it says your playing Quake III Arena. Your xfire client will say your playing Nexuiz but your profile and other people will see it as you playing Quake III Arena.

EDIT: It's quite simple how to make it so it says your playing another game such as Quake I. All you have to to is search for the game you want and just paste:

Sorry I haven't replied at all, well anyway from what I've seen, Nexuiz uses Quake I commands meaning, no kill tracking HOWEVER, Xfire can be used to join a server somebody else is playing.

EDIT: I think I got it, this might work but I don't know, I need to test to see if somebody can join a server via Xire, other than that, ingame works.

I'll make this thread sticky in a minute.. seems like a good start but it would be MUCH better to convince the xfire people to add this. I saw you added a new thread in their forum, maybe they will make use of your hard work. The thread title there was a bit strange and it might be an (good?) idea to also point out that nexuiz is among the top three of the most played free games though its not as over hyped as 'some' other game

eh I stopped using xfire a while ago. I like gaim. I still do miss the ingame chat feature, that was the one thing I actually liked about it.
