Its a FFA map set in a city. More gametypes will come in later releases. Bots play fairly well, except they get stuck on most of the jumppads. I have played with 5 bots and 7 bots, and 6 was too little imo. I would say 8 players is probably the best.

Its packaged as a zip, with a pk3 and a readme inside of it. Extract the zip into Nexuiz/data/ directoy, and it will appear in the map list.

I think the openness of this map does a lot to make it fun to play. I had a blast going through it with bots.

Suggestions:
- Have different graphics for the jump pads and weapon spawns, just to avoid confusion.
- It seemed to me like health was a bit sparse, though it could just be personal opinion.

Thanks for the comments. About the jumppad/item spawns, i originally made 2 different shaders, but both of them used that blue circle as one of the stages, but the shaders didnt work ingame. Nexuiz needs better shader support!

I really like it, great work! I kind of wish it were a bit more claustrophobic, and maybe had some sniping spots, but that is just my nitpicking. Nice textures! It looks great on high detail, and the whole mood is very cohesive :)

btw, what is your avatar of? i cant tell...

If u really want to get more people to play nexuiz u really need proper competive maps, imo dm6 from quake world called dm_darkzone in nexuiz, is the only good map for competive play.

Please make a competive map :P

My avatar says "tite", in orange spraypaint on the snow. I cut it out of a snowboard movie.

cyan: Ill try to make a competitive map then. Coming up with a good layout/item placement (gameplay basically), is a challenge for me. Maybe if your around on the IRC channel, we could discuss it a little, and you can tell me what you would like?

good joke.

There are tons of good competitive 1on1 maps in Nexuiz. Revenant, please don't consider doing more of them. What Nexuiz desperately needs instead are bigger maps (for competitive gameplay), suitable for 2vs2 and upwards, as well as competitive CTF maps (3on3 and upwards).

All the 2on2 matches I played so far felt like playing on a FFA server where you have only shotgun most of the time and have a killrate of 6/min, jsut because there's too little space to play these 2on2's on 1vs1 maps, of which we have enough already.

nice work revenant !

I really like the "sin city"-feel.

Some things i'd like to see are:

- some ramp-jumps to reach the higher floor
- a portal-sky (like soylent has it) with some huge dark towers that support the uncomfortable feeling that you get on the map (i instantly thought of the map mono by mr.lake: http://lvlworld.com/mapper.php?m=Mr.Lake). it works quite well with nexuiz but is best played with quake3 as the sky there adds a lot to the atmosphere. take a look)
- different textures for the jumppads (as Shoe suggested)

Otherwise it seems like fun, haven't played it too long as i'm in a hurry right now...
A little subtle touch of dirty color/lighting here and there (reddish/brownish) would add to the atmosphere imo. Over all very nice.
