2.2.3 official?

Postby 003 » Mon Jan 29, 2007 12:57 am

Main nexuiz d/l page now has 2.2.3 listed as the official version. Is it officially out not and replacing 2.2.2?

This is a nice forum: http://forums.alientrap.local/viewforum.php?f=7
You will find that post: http://forums.alientrap.local/viewtopic.php?t=1243
But 2.2.3 includes a ingame notification of new update so it will get even easier then :)

Ok I'm confused. There is a patch and the full download. The most makes it look like you should have the full download and then install the patch as well. Is this true? Or are they both the same thing?

No the patch can be used to update any version after and including Nexuiz 2.1. If you have 2.1 or 2.2.1 or 2.2.2 you will just need to extract the patch and copy the files over into your Nexuiz dir.
The full 2.2.3 zip file is just that.. all the files that make up Nexuiz 2.2.3

Not more then usual :) 2.2 was just never really official and never announced but some download sites offered an unfinished testing build of 2.2 as official version thats why the final version was bumped to 2.2.1 to make clear to anyone that its not the same and that did include further fixes. But 2.2.3 does include a update notification and fixes a few possible crashes so its really nice to have.

Ooops! I didn't find 2.2.2 in the list of versions to apply the patch to so I downdated by removing the previous patch .pk3 from the folder . Now I remember that the patch had more than just that file and stuff but it seems to work ok :D. (so far)

Hehe and i would have thought a filename nexuiz-21-223.zip would be enought to tell that it will update any version includeing 2.1 and later to 2.2.3 :)
