C.Brutail once made a Q3 version of q2dm1 "The Edge" and it actually works well in Nexuiz (just the water texture needs to get replaced and one lift has no sound, apart from that it works immediately and these two things are easy to fix), but as it uses some original textures from Quake 2, it is illegal to distribute it.

If it weren't for that fact, I would actually run the map on my server.
1. Open Notepad
2. Paste: ÿþMSMSMS
3. Save
4. Open the file in Notepad again

You can vary the number of "MS", so you can clearly see it's MS which is causing it.

http://av43.uw.hu/q3edge.htm

Here you can find the map. Afaik it plays ok in Nexuiz (only home use ;) )

To play, type in the console:

map q3_edge

No problemo, but mind, that q3_edge is for Quake3, and it has some issues in nexuiz: no ammo, bad weapon placement, generally the whole map is too small... I won't realy recommend that map for real use in Nexuiz.
