Chase view?

Postby GunHammer » Mon Feb 19, 2007 12:15 am

Any advantages to this mode, assuming you're not already heavily accustomed to it from such games as Battlefront II? It gives you a better idea of the surroundings, but it seems like you have more precision in first person mode.

Yup.

The only useful thing about the chase view is to choose your colors.

Actually at least one disadvantage, at least if you change the chase_up var. Then the crosshair does not point to where you are shooting.
HOF:
<Diablo> the nex is a "game modification"
<Diablo> quake1 never had a weapon like that.
<Vordreller> there was no need for anything over 4GB untill Vista came along
<Samua>]Idea: Fix it? :D
<Samua>Lies, that only applies to other people.

Pro: It allows different movement than first person view and you can dodge projectiles easier.

Con: It distracts when you are close to a wall or in small rooms, making it harder to aim.
