Hi there!

It eventually came: Brand new RazerPro mice & ProPad for it . 8)

Though, every time I try change settings from System Preferance -> Razer V1.6.5 driver, mouse cursor slows down so that cursor barely moves. Perhaps it's because settings from keyboard & mouse are reseted somehow?

Can some one who uses razer tell me what kind adjustment he/she is using while playing:
Sensivity, acceleration, button configuration etc.. Of course I will experiment my self, but any help will be appreciated!

Do you mean the mouse cursor in windows? The one in Nexuiz should not really be affected.. Back when i still used windows i never had much problems with the razer software. But the razer software also changed the speed settings in the "general" windows mouse settings.. maybe that conflicts for you.

razer software

yeah, my bad. I meant that cursor slows down at MacOSX desk. It looks like that every time I use razer software, it makes all settings to go at minium at "general" keyboard & mouse settings.

Is assiging a key to the buttons from razer software, the only way to make mouses side buttons work in a game - and then bind those keys in the game?

There is a chance that your extra buttons are working without that, but i don't know if anyone ever tested that on mac...
On windows only nexuiz.exe supports extra buttons, the SDL binary doesn't. On Linux both binaries support the thumb buttons of my mouse, but i guess that's only because the SDL library has been patched in debian (and probably most other linux distributions) to support more mouse buttons. So just try both binaries and see if they work...

Can you please, specify how to work with those binaries?

Just run Nexuiz and see if you can assign a function to one of those buttons in the controls menu. If that doesn't work, try Nexuiz-SDL. I hope one of them will work, but i just had a quick look at the source and as far as i can see, the native osx version doesn't seem to support more than 3 mouse buttons.

But assigning characters to the mouse buttons worked fine in windows.. i used ] and \ as i just can't reach those buttons on my keyboard. That even worked in older games so it quite ok.

Thanks for all the answers.

Solution for that problem with "general" settings was... to install exactly same razer software again.

Just run Nexuiz and see if you can assign a function to one of those buttons in the controls menu

-> that don't work. It doesen't recognize Mouse4 buttons etc. It offers Aux/1 option only.
How can I manipulate that Nexuiz-SDL?

I'm sure he means you should start the SDL variant of Nexuiz.. there are two nexuiz and nexuiz-sdl. Both use different methods to access the hardware. The first uses more 'native' Ways to access the hardware while the other uses libSDL to do that.
I did not really use a mac so far but you should be easily possible to find out how to start the 'other' variant..
Or is the razer software is anything like the one in windows you can 'put keys on the mouse buttons'.. if you press a mouse button it then acts as if you had pressed that key on the keyboard. And you should then be able to use it in Nexuiz.
