such ;)

tZork wrote:Try 2.3 latest test build. it runs at 120fps constant with normal.cfg for me. i use a nv6600gt. Rtlights are for the ppl with powerfull rigs and for demo recording. If you dont like it just delete the .rtlight file or turn em off.

I use 2.2.3 with low.cfg + realtime world lights, no shadow, no RT dynamic. My performance ranges from 40-60 just running around, and 24-49 with players (3 bots). I have a 6600 plain.

Removing the RT info would be cheating in ladder and such. I have this issue also with one other map, its one of the q3 maps, the one with the blue light center area, they feel very similar as performance is concerned.

tZork wrote:You can shoot back while in the air you know.. And its part of the design i wanted tons of airtime on this one, if it dosent work thats to bad.. Yes the mg impact is nuff to trow you off, bigtime. Theres also enougth speed in most of the jumppads to allow ya to crashland somewhere else.

Yeah. i like airtime too.. its cool, but as i said, it might make a match between slightly uneven players, very uneven :) My main concern however is that a few of the jumpers made me land almost outside the target platform, so if you step ontpo in e while fighitn you will probably pluge to your dath if you dont let go of steering immediealty. This was particulary noticeable (the very close-to-edge thing) on the long jums with nothing but void underneath.

Yes i cant seem to get that one fixed. LordHavoc tought it was a problem with the uvmap beeing to tight, but that was not thye case. runnin outa things to try =/

Ah.. toobad, i really hope you are able to fix it, cause if you make it look as intended it will be awesome!

Again try 2.3-test ist literaly hunders of precent faster. Not sure how big the diffrance is between the 6600 and the gt version, but i have to go up to ultra.cfg to get ~50ish fps on this map, playing alone that is.

Removing rtlight would not be cheating since this map is not on the ladder.

And perhaps it will create a bit more gap between the skilld and the rest with all this airtime, however its kinda hard to escape the fact that if you get owned you are less skilled then the one owning you. Its not like the map gives some players a stronger nex or whatever. Perhaps it will even encurage ppl to start using aircontrol more to become harder midair targets.

I may have figured out why the Jumppads "missfire" sometimes.. trying a fix for that.

And the models.. well im redoing the uv's and texture to try and get this fixed. lots of work but it seems it cant be helped. Iritating part is tahy look fine when you are close to em xD
HOF:
<Diablo> the nex is a "game modification"
<Diablo> quake1 never had a weapon like that.
<Vordreller> there was no need for anything over 4GB untill Vista came along
<Samua>]Idea: Fix it? :D
<Samua>Lies, that only applies to other people.
