special config for mac users?

Postby Dokujisan » Sun Jun 17, 2007 7:02 pm

I've run into a lot of mac users over the past few months that are missing a right mouse key. Would it be a good idea to have a key on the keyboard setup as the alternate fire for them?

Yes, but... which one?
1. Open Notepad
2. Paste: ÿþMSMSMS
3. Save
4. Open the file in Notepad again

You can vary the number of "MS", so you can clearly see it's MS which is causing it.

It's not ideal to have to press (find) two keys in different areas to get a right click- especially when you are shooting at someone.

here's a tip: go out to compUSA or microcenter or whatever electronics store you have nearby and buy a cheap 5$ mouse. Or are you that poor.

EDIT: ok what I've said may be a tad inappropriate but really nobody will be able to play nexuiz with a mighty mouse/one of those weird circular mice... effectively, anyway...

Can you use just any USB mouse with the Mac OS?

Yes- for example, I am using a 5 button Kensington laser mouse.

Not really any point playing an fps with a one button mouse :) Getting a multi-button one is always better, right click allows for many stuff in finder, etc. scrollbars are obviously useful too.
