Just to inform you.. debian testing and ubuntu (not sure about the version) use the data from nexuiz 2.3 but still the old engine from 2.2.3 and it still might take a while for them to update.
This is irritating and can also lead to problems. For example the anti-wallhack was activated in 2.3 because it nolonger increases cpu usage (or at least only by VERY lowl amounts) So if the engine is still 2.2.3 it could lead to heavy CPU usage and maybe also some of the newworking changes could collide with the old engine.
So please, if you you those packages take a look at your cpu usage and look for further problems or maybe even take a look at your logs and see if players reported problems so we can deceide if i'm just paranoid or there really arise problems as i meantioned. Maybe this is even the cause for some of the player reported networking problems. I'm just trying to make sure.. and hopefully this will be soon solved by an update in debian/ubuntu.
And please remember that we asked server admins to use the new Nexuiz/Docs/server/server.cfg for running your server.. Just to make sure there are even less problems. (No idea though were that file is in the debian packages..
