Aliases are deleted after you close nexuiz. The only way to keep aliases is to place them in a cfg file. If you need help there is a how to cfg files on my site http://www.thenex.tk.googlepages.com/cfgfiles

I think they're likely in the data pk3.

Depends which aliases you're talking aobut.

The predefinied chat aliases are stored in the data pk3 in the default.cfg.
Aliases you type in are won't get stored, if you don't store them. Ingame there's a command to write cfg, but I can't remember the name of it now.

saveconfig. but that won't save any aliases, the only make them persistant is using an autoexec.cfg.

why no "aliases.cfg"? that would be quite handy.

Well name it alias.cfg or autoexec.cfg .. were is the difference? autoexec.cfg does already work, is wellknown and i doubt anyone is very motivated to add that extra line to support alias.cfg :)
