How to form a Nexuiz clan

Postby Dokujisan » Thu Jul 12, 2007 4:39 am

I've recently begun trying to influence some of the regular North American Nexuiz players into forming clans. I'm getting some good responses. Some of them asked how to create a clan, so I thought of whipping up these basic instructions.

might I suggest http://clantools.titoly.de/ ? it's what we use on the TSA site, together with joomla.

also maybe add some free hosting sites.

I'd also have them come up with some philosophies behind the clan, like "this clan is for people who are at the same level so we can all get better" or "this clan plays for the sake of playing"

lastly, nope I lied that's it.

Clans aren't "created", you just put a common tag in your nickname and that's it... and you have to somehow know each other. A clan page wouldn't hurt... and an IRC channel is useful too.

Postnatal abortion, too?
1. Open Notepad
2. Paste: ÿþMSMSMS
3. Save
4. Open the file in Notepad again

You can vary the number of "MS", so you can clearly see it's MS which is causing it.

Semantics.
Starting a clan. Creating a clan. Forming a clan. "Putting together" a clan.
Whatever you prefer.

I explained at the end of the page that really only steps 1 and 2 are needed for a clan (which are basically the ones that you described). Usil 666 recently started a clan with only those two steps. I realize there are no rules to forming a clan. This is just a guideline of what is common and useful.

Yeah. Having more than 3 members would be ideal. It would certainly help for scheduling matches. I would say that 3 people would be a minimum though, because of 3v3 CTF or TDM.

And having it like a family is nice. I would say TSA is much like a family. Even though Psych started the clan, I feel like Dave is the mother and we are his adopted children.

(Psst... he beats us when nobody else is around. help!)
