A question regarding "Join".

Postby THE PYTHON » Wed Aug 01, 2007 7:21 pm

In the server listing where the header is, to the right of map name, what does the NP/TP/MP mean? And to the right of that whats the Mod name mean?
Its bothered me since I downloaded Nexuiz, but I'm guessing "NP" is number of players and "MP" is max players, although I'm really unsure.

Oh, I forgot to add another question.
How do I create screenshots. I used the screenshot button within Nexuiz and I checked my Nexuiz directory but I didn't see it anywhere.
By the way, it for my previous question to make it easier to describe. I don't know if it was the menus or it was just my part.

NP = the number of players actually playing "In Game". TP = the Total players on the server i.e. maybe 3 are actually playing and 1 is just spectating so NP = 3 TP = 4. MP = max players allowed on the server.

Mod name is the name of the mod for Nexuiz.

Screenshots are held in a folder called screenshots in the nexuiz/data folder.

NP = Human Players not including bots
TP = Human Players plus Bots

to find screenshots on Linux/Mac, go to the .nexuiz/data/screenshots directory, which is a hidden directory in your home folder.

Thanks for describing the NP/TP/MP. I've heard of "pro", and have seen pro on the list, but what is data?

I'm still having trouble with screenshots. I played a game and took a few more and didn't see any.

Dave when you said home folder did you mean one's folder under /users or the Nexuiz folder where the contents are stored? What is ".nexuiz/", and what do you mean by hidden directoy?
I'm a previous Windows user and recall some stuff being hidden in explorer.
Also, I now use Mac OS X 4.9

To Mr.Carlyle, I don't have a screenshots folder under nexuiz/data. I later created one, and took more screenshots. Still, I don't see them.

On Mac OS and Linux, Nexuiz stores stuff like map downloads, demos, and screenshots in a directory called .nexuiz, which is in MacHD/Users/Yourusername/

It is a hidden folder- Mac OS hides directories with a "." in front- meaning that your wont see it in the Finder. To access it, either browse it up or use MainMenu (a terminal frontend that lives in your menu bar) to unhide hidden folders. It is useful thing to have.

Get it here:

The screenshots folder is in .nexuiz/data/screenshots.
