What do you think about the new colors?

Finally some new colors! And maybe it will help in team games,,,

I edited the palette for the player colors a bit...

Also, with this, the fbskins will support teamplay.

Maybe I should add that this change would be client side, and anyone can of course put the old colors back in if he likes...
1. Open Notepad
2. Paste: ÿþMSMSMS
3. Save
4. Open the file in Notepad again

You can vary the number of "MS", so you can clearly see it's MS which is causing it.

Desaturate number 3 and 4 a bit (turquoise and the bright green) and it's ready to go imo.

The bright green has to be like that... it's for the fbskins... as for the cyan, will check... yes, reduced its brightness now, it was over the top.

I would like to see them in-game NOW! :)

If i understand it correctly, it will be clientside. So i can chose, if my enemies appear in the old colors or in the new fullbright?!

no, it's serverside. what you see in the gif above, the upper row (at "new" status) will be the default on every server. If the server then also has g_fullbrightplayers enabled, you'll have to look at the "new" row at the bottom to see what it will look like.

Right, you can choose old/new colors on the client (or even make your own), but not fullbright/not fullbright. Actually, you CAN enable fullbright on the client and I even did that on my screenshot, but it then doesn't just make the players fullbright, but everything - and reduces visibility. Only useful on maps like blueamuse :P

Ok, thx for your answers.

Imho g_fullbrightplayers should be enabled by default. There are too many players running around in grey/ grey or brown/ brown and you can only nearly see them, or see them too late. Annoying!
