Right now, thinking about cementing the heatsink to the board, since it's no longer able to screw in. I really would like to put the heatsink back on the CPU if possible, I heard it's just a good thing to have.
I never heard about the fact that thermal paste should be adhesive. Is it like that on Dell laptops?

I bought the same laptop off ebay for $230 and I'm going to cannibalize, put my cpu and ram in the new one, but leave the integrated graphics. Honestly, I'd rather have the intel 915GM integrated graphics than the ATI card I have now.
Yehm but div is right, it really sucks. Wouldnt it be about time for you to get some money together and buy something reasonable?
Yes, Mister Urmel, I'm working on that too, but I would like to fix this first.
Like Grandfather always said "Don't overtighten screws less than 2 mm in diameter, they just might break off into your motherboard and you'll end up wrecking something you paid way too much for."
But, Duck is too gamey for my taste, I'll sell autographed glossies of yours truly instead, a sure breadwinner.
