For a "school" style server, I think that teamspeak, or something similar (mumble), would be very helpful. Often times typing is too laborious, especially if one wants to talk while playing. However, that would necessitate designated OPs who could ban people if they got out of hand (XSAX).

The only things I can think of that I excel at are laser//trick jumping (wall climbing, mortar jumping, etc), and use of the RL. I would be delighted to teach what I know about those things, if this pans out.

Mumble isn't available for Mac, but there is a TeamSpeak client called TeamSpeex:

-z- is building a library of demos and videos showing training and tips at nexuizninjaz.com. If you haven't been yet, check it out. It is growing quickly.

He's also volunteered to host a class schedule. Check out this thread if you want to volunteer or have comments:

Let's keep this idea going.

For this, I might start playing Nexuiz again.

Could you also record some demos and add voice overs. You could describe which keys you're pressing and why.

Then host the demos here on Alientrap, Nexuiz Ninjaz or somehere else with a description of the language, who's involved and where etc.

A while back I looked at a Warsow training video. It was very good but I very quicly realised I needed a third hand to help with the very odd jumping controls.

I'm willing to set up a server for this and give the organizer the rcon password to make necessary adjustments as needed. It would not be public.

Thoughts?
