Some time ago, I was part of a clan that tried to excel at CTF and succeeded to a degree I had not anticipated. While part of that clan I volunteered to run training sessions so that others could perhaps learn how to defend flags and shoot the various weaponry we had on-hand.
More recently I ran a "school" once a week in an rpg game I enjoyed playing. I would drop into the pvp arena, ask for people new to pvp to join my & my friend's groups, then teach these new people the art of pvp play as best we could manage for a few hours. The school was relatively successful and we even won some games. Most of all it was fun alot of the time.
I found myself thinking recently that with such an influx of new players perhaps it would benefit others if an informal gathering of people were to meet once in a while to teach these new players how Nexuiz is done. As far as I am aware there is nothing like this set up as of now and I wondered what others thought of the idea.
I have intentionally left the time frame, for the day in question, undetermined as I realize that some days people will show up & other days they will not. Equally I'm sure some days would have this gather last an hour and at other times perhaps a few hours or longer.
