New Nexuiz Flag Sounds

Postby [-z-] » Fri Feb 29, 2008 8:24 pm

My buddy from berklee created these flagsounds for our playing pleasure. Just drop the pack in your Nexuiz\data directory (~\.nexuiz\data on OSX and Linux) and game on!

You can post your feedback here, he's open to suggestions.

These sounds are awesome :) The only criticism I have is that they seem a tad too long, but they sound really good

Hehe, I said the same thing as have many others. However, keep in mind that games _should_ be more balanced requiring more teamplay, translating to - less back to back flag caps.

These are some pretty decent sounds if I'd say so myself.

I'd like to see/hear a version wo. the vocals. Sorry, but they sounds like *buuuuuuurps* to me.
Is there an undubed version? I'd really love that one :)

Agreed. The vocals are pretty bad. The rest is cool :D

I had specifically requested he make vocals. I believe just having sounds is inefficient and of poor design for the game. Taking it a step farther, it'd be nice if the game were able to say which color flag was <action>ed.

While I'm sure Johnny would be happy to make vocal-less sounds for those unconvinced, I believe we should focus our energy towards early adopters and helping them understand what's happening in their environment.

Are there any suggestions on voice tweaks?
