Recording demos on server side

I was considering testing this out on one of my servers. I know the command is..

sv_autodemo_perclient 1

Has anyone tried this before? Is it experimental? Is there any idea of server requirements per # of players?

Its just a 'normal' demo.. so i'd say per Player and per Minute of recording around 1MB..
having 12 players will be around 12mb per minute saved to disc.
