I get a lot of slowdown in water with the hotfix, which I didn't have in 2.4. Also, going up a staircase can be sickening (not smooth to put it lightly, each step is a sudden move upwards), which I also didn't get before.

I've got an Nvidia Geforce 8600gts if it helps :?:...

That stair thing is known, it was always there more or less.. the server side and client side movement prediction needs to get closer to each other to fix this. But not for 2.4.1..
Not sure what issues you have about the water.

Well if I go into the water and swim, everything is jerky, but if I stand still at the bottom, everything is smooth...

EDIT: Turning off client-side movement prediction removes the problem...But I don't think that's really a fix...

After I applied the new hotfix I got some kind of lag when playing with bots. Same thing happens in OpenArena now. What the heck?
It's like in the middle of the battle I try to turn around and my view is stuck and won't move for like 1 second. And then it's instantly on the new position without any mouse movement. Same happens with usual movement, for example, I keep running although I already released the button.
I don't think, it's because of the fix, since it hasn't anything to do with OA, but other games don't have this kind of stuff. Any ideas?

Ok, the latest hotfix is available.. as you can see from the name THIS might be 2.4.1 if no more problems are to be found. Please give it a thorough testing. The changes since the last hotfix basicly include the onslaught gamemode, the ons-reborn map, the new announcer sounds and some small bugfixes (again some testing stuff for mac). Please take a look at the link in the first post to see all changes since 2.4..
Thanks :)

BTW please remove the old Nexuiz/pro dir.. before it was single files, now they come in a .pk3 file like Nexuiz/data

you want a cookie for 100 posts? add an other 0 first :P

But if you have the same problem in Nex and OA i really doubt its a problem of nexuiz and also that the hotfix will solve it..

Now you really made Butt sad.
Wait a sec. torus made an all-new announcer? That's definitely worth a woot!
gl_workaround_mac_texmatrix 0/1/2 can be used to work around some broken mac features and maybe the rotating hud/textures bug. MAC PEOPLE PLEASE TEST
And what am I supposed to do with this stuff btw?

If you have an mac try if gl_workaround_mac_texmatrix set to 1 or 2 helps with some of the bugs.. :)

I still get problems, particularly in water, while using the client side movement prediction... :?

But when I disable it, I have to say, the performance has improved!
