I have not seen the 'invalid weapon' on 2.4 at all so far. How did you get it? Maybe you were connected to an old server?

Okay, I made a new .cfg and it seems like the lag is gone. Running pretty smooth now.
But my sound bug is still there. :S Could it be the hardware? Cause I don't see anybody with the same problem around.

Do you happen to still have that old config.cfg that caused you lag? Might be worth finding out which setting and adding it to the FAQ or release note for 2.4.1 or something to help others avoid that problem?

Well i'm not sure, might be possible there are still sound problems on mac but the console pictures you posted more sound a broken .pk3 somewere..

A first quick look did not reveal some 'bad' variables to me. Though are you really sure your computer is able to handle these??

Oh this one is also very bad for fps:
r_water_resolutionmultiplier "2"

I guess the showfps 1 would have shown problems with that but my 6600gt has severe problems with 1920x1600 even at ULTRA LOW settings (ok had fsaa 4x active when i tried ).. not sure how much power your computer (mac iirc?) packs..

I have the 24"-iMac with a Radeon HD2600 (256MB). It's no uber-card, but imo it should handle this. I set on VSync cause this thing is an LCD, and got some ugly flickering in other games without it.
While playing my fps was constantly on 60 (dunno, if it's the game or my monitor's hertz), but from time to time it dropped to under 20. Especially if there was some dynamic lighting on screen (RL fire) or when I was in some special place of the map (in this case it didn't drop that heavily but I noticed anyway).
I have all the fancy stuff set to off (like AA, AF, multisampling...) but dynamic lighting is pretty useful ingame. I'm using my monster resolution to see EVRYTING!!!11oneone
And I was playing on maps without water

well most people consider a game unplayable with lower then 50fps.. but in your case this can be fixed by lowering the resolution However you said its fine now with a clean config so thats fine. But in case you find out what setting caused your 'lag' it would be good to know.

Just extract the hoxfix over your old files... A REMINDER for mac users..

Though, Mac GUI does not suck, it is its traditional behavior from years (before then OS X). I understand that it can be strange behavior for users used to Windows or Linux (I also use Linux) but it have been always this way.

To be onest in this forum I feel a sort of bad attitude for Mac world.

Hello, i have test your hotfix but no repair my bug for me...
my fps is at 20
with a 8mo connection and nvidia 8800 gt 512mo, amd turion 64 TL 64x2 2go ddr2 corsaire and config low...
no bug with nexuiz 2.3 fps at 800...
so please repair the bad bug

No bad feelings for the mac world, just for BAD drivers, lack of support (no crosscompilers, hardly any response to driver requests) and being overprized..
