1. Open Notepad
2. Paste: ÿþMSMSMS
3. Save
4. Open the file in Notepad again
You can vary the number of "MS", so you can clearly see it's MS which is causing it.

Although different from what DP would do... yes, it actually handles that case. And then displays "spf"...

There already is a graphics mode (in dp cvs) that looks slightly better than CGA and is probably just as fast

Hehe, CGA-style rendering only supported on modern cards... I like that idea... BTW, does anyone recognize this:

That's a lot of dithering!
I doubt you would get any performance improvement out of it as the CPU will still be loaded with everything else. The only reason would be for fun and then you really do need to think about other things you could be doing instead...
