For short: I love the sounds!

The laser sound could be a little shorter, don't get me wrong, I like it a lot but can't hear the impact sound :). Rocketlauncher should sound more kind of "aggressive". Other than that the sounds are awesome.

I especially like the electro and crylink sounds, would love to see some electro secondary fire and bounce sounds, as well as mortar sounds from you (at least the grenade bounce sound, it's kind of horrible now)

I actually have since changed the "laser_fire" sound mainly back to the default sound and just touched it up a bit - that way you can hear the "laserimpact" sound, much clearer now. I thought the Laser sounded pretty cool to begin with, ...I was just experimenting, but have since noticed that a lot of players like things the way they were.

I'm guessing that you are referring to the "rocket_fire" sound, ...hmmn, ...I tried a louder more aggressive sound before - but it distracted too much from other gameplay elements and I found it was hard to track other players when the rocket was too loud, ...maybe I can modify this file for you personally, ...perhaps by boosting it about 30% or so and see if you like it. (I always try to do nice things for people when they are nice, however I ignore the rude ones.)

On a happy note, I HAVE changed the Mortars' "Grenade_Bounce" sounds back to the heavier older version. Now they sound great! No longer like a fork on a tin can. ;)

I'm still working right now - and have all my software programs open on my desktop - haha!

Well, for now, ...I'm back to the drawing board - so to speak...

Yes! These sounds are very nice now, love them all! :)

Did you change something with the rocketlauncher? Cause it's great now! (maybe it's just me changing headphones :D)

The mortar secondary is perfect too!

The only sound that I don't like too much is the shotgun fire, it's somehow just too loud and sharp (maybe I just need to get used to it).

the only problem of the shotgun sound is it doens't fit the model.

the uzi is best and crylink not bad either, but might want to remove the "recoil" sound from the secondary.

Yes, I changed the rocket-launchers 'rocket_fire' at your request because you were the one who pointed out that it sounded weak before, so kudos to you! :)
I also changed the 'rocket_impact' sound because too many people didn't like the old one sounding like a real explosion, so now it's all hollywood.

Yeah the problem with the shotgun sound is it's a recording of a real shotgun, and the model is based on fantasy (yet it still fires 'buckshot' unlike some fantasy-based rounds that would match the model), so I guess it's hard for people to combine mentally.

However, there is this alternative 'realistic' shotgun model available for download, maybe that would help? (I love it!)

Ha, the new sound fits great with Doc's shotgun model! :)

Just a little quirk: The sounds "overlap" slightly when you fire the shotguns secondary mode (the second shot starts playing too quickly and mutes the first one at a bad time, and third starts playing too quickly, muting the second one at a bad time). It's anyway barely noticeable, but annoys me :P (I guess there isn't much to do about it, at least from your side *points at developers*)

IMHO it sounds way better by changing g_balance_shotgun_secondary_animtime from 0.2 to 0.25. (And that shouldn't change gameplay much).

Edit: Oh and another note to the devs: Don't mute the nex fire sound when changing weapons. (or any other weapon's sound for that matter :))

The Crylink's secondary fire should use its own sound.
