The Crylink's secondary fire should use its own sound.

Oh, and i don't like the hook sound at all.

The Crylink doesn't have any other fire sound, it only has the one sound. It uses the same sound for both fire modes (Left-click & Right-click = same sound).

As for the hook, if you don't like it - you can simply delete it from the sound folder I made and the default will still work.

Keep in mind that if you don't tell me exactly what it is that you don't like - I can't fix it to please you.

your hook sound actually fits and makes sense, but i just like the default which doesn't really fit to the hook.

Now all we need is a real looking rope!

It wouls still go through walls... which sucks

"Tomb Raider: Legend" had a "magnetic" grapple that detached when the side of the rope touched an edge. That felt a bit more "real" (umm....), but was utterly useless; you could only use it on special objects and enemies. Because, you know, you need to pull enemies toward you to shoot them. (well, you could kick them instead of shooting.... "Your machine gun versus my right foot!" - lol)

The sparks were cool.

What about an animated beam of energy? More like a tractor beam, so it wouldn't be that stupid, if it could go through walls.

Please go into this folder:

Nexuiz\data\sound.pk3\sound\weapons\

Then preview the 'crylink_fire' sound all by itself, (you will notice no other sound).
Anything else you hear 'in-game' may be the sound of it bouncing off of objects or even other opponents firing their own weapons. If you don't have a program like 'Winamp' to listen to the ".ogg" files by themselves, then you can always load up a map by yourself (with no bots or players = therefore no other sound-distractions) and test the sounds out to see for yourself.

I'm sick as hell right now with a severe toothache (impacted wisdom tooth).

I just got antibiotics 2 days ago, ...so until i'm better, I won't be working on any sounds. I'm in far too much pain.

In the meantime, ...take care guys.
