Empty servers?

Well i see on my server list 3 or 4 servers with 4/10 6/20 players? Is it my fault or players aren`t playing this game?
btw: how to check ping?

There are more servers and players. You can see a online server list here:

(well the number of players depends on the time.. less during worktime )

If you click on the "join" button take a look at the first column, it is named ping and shows.. the ping
Normaly this seems to be a problem with bad firewalls.. If you use one try to start nexuiz, go to the options/video settings and aktivate windowed mode, maybe your firewall shows a message or something. Maybe tell us what firewall you are using.

And there are several people in the official 1on1 ladder so there are people playing this game

well its been a little slow lately, i blame good weather and a lot of the players aren't that young anymore and have Real Lifes to attend to...

but don't worry i'm sure things will pick up when the next release is out at the end of the month

It's also exam time of year for some of us. Haven't palyed Nexuiz in over a month now. Only 9 days time until it's all over and I can get back into it.

im using mandriva 2006

I use debian sid(unstable) for my desktop and never had problems with the server list. Maybe you can try the server browser XQF to see if it has the same problems. Both work for me but i prefer XQF . Does your mandriva or your router use a firewall?

Hey that was at 14:00.. when most people are in school or at work. At that time 10 players is much for a free and open source game. Try to take a look at other times.
And it might seem harsh but people to not play games because they have more then 100000 players but because the game is fun and they like it! And you can find people to play at all times. (Well if the ping to the server is ok )
