Yay, I got DSL back and running.
You have no idea how lost I am without a connection.
Anywho, since I had some time to kill during the "blackout" I got a bit creative. I've redone my photo portfolio, studied another dead analog special effect, read a book, fixed the muffler on my car (exhaust header rather), got more work done on my tattoo (16 hours of pain this time) AND made a Nexuiz CD cover.

I hope you guys like the cover and don't laugh about the other stuff too much.

P.S. Looks like I get a lot more shit done if I'm not sitting where I'm sitting right now!

Interesting approach, and nice solution.. It looks good.

I dont agree with the placement of the "dm tdm" etc though, it ruince the balance/symmetry, I think it needs something on the ofer sice for balance. "the free fast-paced first person shooter" or something

I do play a lot of trem lately. I also see some of you there often. Might be due to the fact that Nex is going thru it's down time. I still have a few open 1v1 challages so I guess it's time to close those

Very nice present that u have got there

I think that it would look great as menu background/startup screen for nexuiz (without the text ofcourse). IMO the current one does miss the "nexuizstyle" quite a bit (very subjective, no offensive intended)

Phreak, i hope you won't be offended by what i'll tell.

Good base-job, but :
- i'm afraid it looks a bit 'flat' in a bigger size
- not the original nexuiz font
- nexuiz logo is distorded and thiner than it should
- perhaps those texts on the left should be centered
- the metal plate under the nexuiz logo needs to be a bit more 'scrashed'
- ... and an inner shadow too
- the black and red gradient curves need a bit more differenciation with the background radial gradient

Anyway i think that using a Red / Gray / Black base is a quite good idea
