Basicly this is an invitation to all nexuiz server admins to join #nexuiz.admins on quakenet (irc://irc.quakenet.org/nexuiz.admins). After talking to some other admins there was the idea to help each other out, create a spot were people can ask about servers, report problems with them or certain players. Maybe in the long run to create a system to share rcon or master passwords so that trusted people might watch the servers and also to find some sort of way to have most of the irc gateways some of the well known servers run in similar named channels to help watching those servers.

I was using this channel a few months ago, but then it seemed like not very many people used it. I hope it grows and becomes a good spot for people to quickly find those who have Nexuiz admin knowledge.

Yep, I think it's a great resource and a good idea. At least have restricted rcon shared among us. Perhaps shared ban-lists as well.

I know I also have a lot of helper scripts that I wouldn't mind sharing with other admins that make it a little easier to manage a few servers, logs, and users.

No, i think it should not be just admins but maybe they should be the bigger part because then it would be easy to find an admin if you need to.
The other regular players are on #nexuiz or related channels like #nexuiz.de #nexuiz.tourney #nexuiz.pickup ..

And as John said, shared rcon would be a cool thing though i'm not sure yet how to do that best. Using the same password would be insane, maybe a mailing list for only the admins and trusted people (invite only) were admins post the rcon or master password when its changed. Or maybe someone could program a small sort of database were one can login and find the passwords if allowed to.

Also i was thinking about using a channel like #nexuiz.server to have all the irc gateways in one spot but several people noticed that would be a lot of traffic and makes it hard to watch what going on. Maybe a substructure like #nexuiz.srv.dcc #nexuiz.srv.batcave #nexuiz.srv.pn would be more like it.
