I noticed since several months you didn't enjoy working on this project, but you stayed and keep adding features (like the team radar to just name one) or bugfixes to get a new nexuiz version released in good condition with fun and balanced gameplay. And unfortunately you almost only received harsh criticisms from the new active players base, whereas your decisions have always been positive, like for the 2.4.x release, adding a detonate delay for the rl or counting weapon refire with individual timer. Big thanks for your huge contribution, keep in mind under your management player base doubled in 2 years, so you are just victim of your success. :)
About nexuiz immediate future, I think 2.5 is almost ready, it need some testing to find the last obvious bugs. Experimentations have been made about score systems, items, etc., now it's time to take decision and set good default values. I've a complete confidence on divVerent's judgment to still make nexuiz 2.5 a fun experience for new and experimented players.
After 2.5, I'm agree with torus, the code base is solid, but the artistic contents hasn't evolved as fast. Player models are 4 years olds, same for some ammo items, so it seem a good start to focus on this aspect already begin by the highly unexpected and valuable Tenshihan's sound pack. And it seem there are some good modelers in the community. ;) On the code side, logic wants more objects to be managed client side like gibs, projectiles, players, etc. but that will be more difficult without an experimented coder. Also that will be the moment to see what all the complaining (and often arrogant) people can bring to the game except criticizes, but I don't expect anything serious from them...
