Personally I don't really think that a static background would be a really good choice for start, especially if it is made on Blastedlands, because if i remember that map well its bright, and open like hell, the perfect opposite of the maps that are contained within the downloaded game, so it doesnt reflect the content well enough. Personally I would stick to a dark sci-fi-like dynamic start, thats closer to the atmosphere of Nexuiz than Blastedlands at least in my opinion

Still waiting for conception ideas for the starting of course, what I linked is just my idea, but if someone is creative enough, please share something cool, if its not way too complicated its possible i can set together with After Effects.
So please share ideas for the starting, i would like to have at least 3-4 so we can Poll it in a seperate forum topic which intro-effect would look cool. I do think its important to make a good first impression for the casual viewer with a proper beginning.
Also as I see from Fisume's post its still not decided wether it is now a review video, or a trailer. I think we have 3 choice of the video-type we can make:
1, A "slow-paced" video, with commentary, trying to show MOST of the possible new things in Nexuiz 2.5. I would rather call it "review", thats in my opinion is improper as a front page video. Also it would be quite hard to mix up a video containing commentary, easy-frags and hardcore frags while keeping it fast-paced (commentary slows down by nature). Not sure its possible... Lenght max 4 minutes
2, The "mixed" video, where there is no commentary, but the new features are displayed with on-screen words. (new explosions.... new weapons.... new physics... new game-modes... etc) In this type of video, the new features can be the newbie-friendly frags in the same time so its quite good solution to make it not way too long (so it remains exciting) Lenght max 2 minutes.
3, "Trailer", fast paced, shaped on excitement, without saying "this is new, that is new etc", but they are embedded with frags. (very similar to the "mixed" video) Length max 1,5 minute.
To keep the video lenght small I think its a great idea to mix up newbie frags with showing the new features. What I exactly mean: if you want to show the new explosions and also the weapon arsenal of Nexuiz, just shoot with mortar and rocketlauncher some, so you can have 2 weapons, new explosions and newbie frags in 5-6 seconds.
