I wasnt actually too annoyed, since im going to get a new car anyway,

i live in the UK!

going to go look at a 2.5 V6 vectra tomorrow, its at an amazingly good price, looks nice...and with that engine...sure to get me around

anyhow, didnt work on movie for last day, but will continue tonight,

If you want to convert a demofile into a video you have play the demo and use cl_capturevideo (type cl_capturevideo in the console and press tab, that'll give you a list of options and what they are doing)

I try to convert a demo to a movie...

while playing a demo, I type :

set cl_capturevideo 1

and the framerate falls down... so I think it works fine...
then I type :

Code: Select all

set cl_capturevideo 0

and it seems to work too...

but where are the files ? I can't find them... (running nexuiz v 1.5 on a powermac G5)

Well on windows they get dumped into the directory Nexuiz/data/video but i have no idea where they will be dumped on the mac. Either there or maybe in ~/.nexuiz/data/video aka in your own folder.. maybe those directory names with a . as first char are hidden as they are on unix systems..

just type "open .nexuiz" in terminal to open the hidden folder

btw some bastards smashed my car in on the weekend..after it broke down not far from my town, so i had to leave it there, came back today, they had taken the speakers, and CD player..but i had taken the fascia out (bit you use to control CD player)...yet they still took it, smashed 2 of my windows...and a wing mirror..

Back to the movie,

ive now done about 30 seconds of frags, with just plain editing, adding effects afterwards, names, extra pov boxes e.t.c.

i do need help on certain part of the song, it slows down considerably and im not sure what to do with it to be honest..

..esteel mind if i send you what i have on wendesday, perhaps you can give me an idea what i could put in for the slow bit?
