Is there a variable to set the shot origin?

Is there a variable to set the shot origin, right now it is lower than it used to be and thus my machinegun pill boxes nolonger work ( bullets and everything else just hit the lower lip in SVN, whereas in the past you could happily shoot out of the pillbox correctly).

Is it a hardcoded value somewhere? Per weapon or just regular? If so where? Would it be possible for me to make that a server variable then...

I think shot origins shouldn't be dynamically configured. It would be like allowing to change dynamically the player height. As some weapons were redesigned and adjusted for the new version I think you should tweak a little your maps to make it compatible.

I don't wish to tweak my maps each time someone decideds to change the shotorigin. That an unstable way of doing things. You might not make maps of complexity if you can seriously suggest changing your maps each time the shot origin change. Maps take too much effort to create to change them constantly. I'd rather have an s_var I can tweak for that map using the settemp in the mapinfo system: that way the map never breaks regardless of how much the shotorg is changed: the shotorigin is kept the appropriate value for that map.

Regardless of the redesign, why should a mapper have to do tons more work changing every pillbox every time someone decides to lower or raise the shot origin? Why should maps (which always worked in the past) suddenly break? Surely a svar to edit shot origin would fix that problem.

I don't understand your objection to allowing the server admin to dynamically change the playerheight etc on his server...

Choice is good (usually :) )
