After examining the surface of the hard drive at that place, I found something quite small and simple, yet still funny there...
what else, a Nexuiz map, especially made for Nexuiz 2.0!

Small (for two players only, maybe up to four), simple (39 total brushes), making full use of Deluxemapping.

Supports CTF (well, 1on1 CTF

There's even a hint...

Well, it's really a shame that you can't read the SGA yet, isn't it?
Download at http://mensa.ath.cx/~polzer/nexmaps/egg ... dbacon.pk3
If you want to use this map on a public server, create or edit a file called curl_urls.txt in your data folder (right next to your config.cfg, on non-Windows it should go in ~/.nexuiz/data) and add the following line:
- Code: Select all
eggandbacon.pk3 http://mensa.ath.cx/~polzer/nexmaps/eggandbacon/
That way, other players will automatically download the map from my server when they need it.
Note: this was the first map I did, and it probably will me my last because I am not good at that and not really interested - but I learned why GtkRadiant sucks. I should however give credit where it's due: TDW (http://www.tdw-clan.com/) made a similar map for UT99 some years ago, it's called DM-TDWTraining.
Have fun on it!
Some extra things "are left as an exercise to the reader":
- What is the name a reference to? Why did I choose it?
- What do these strange characters on the signs say? Does it perhaps have to do with a certain company who produced a game Nexuiz is, although distantly, related to?
- How many electro balls can a man detonate at once?
(hint: what do you get if you multiply six by nine?)
