Just in case you feel like doing a big (ctf) map for Nexuiz its welcome :) ;)

<Diablo> the nex is a "game modification"
<Diablo> quake1 never had a weapon like that.
<Vordreller> there was no need for anything over 4GB untill Vista came along

Right.. are they compiled with deluxemapping? I can't test that right now. Why was it not included as a ctf map in Nexuiz? It was really good. Was it too slow?

Deluxmapping: Nope, its was done back in 1.2-1.5. And i have no iadea how to add delux mapping

Speed: Not sure, it runs at straight maxfps for me, bu since thats 60 and i have the eyecandy that dosent say to mutch. I do know that the rtlights shiped with it is a bit over the top tho.

Not included: No idea. maybe the at team dident feel like it was good enogth. or maybe they simply dident know abt it.

It should be enough to add -deluxe when compileing the map.. Would be nice to see if it makes the map look better. That super-cool teleporter that was posted to the forum did not change too much.. but i guess with hand-made textures it would have looked great. I think on a whole map its easier to make stock textures look good ;)

Yeh deluxmaps would proly make the map look a lil better.

Super cool teleporter, retextuing what, and what stock textures? i have no idea what you are talking abt.. lol

(Hmm my browser jumps around after loading all the images so you might have to scroll but its almost impossible to miss :))

I wrote a PM to the author to get a deluxe compiled version but as i said it did not look as cool as i thought. But i suppose that this teleporter would look ace with precompiled bumpmapping if the textures were made for the teleporter. The stock textures (those coming with Nexuiz) look good in levels (like yours) but not on this teleporter. Thats why i think your level might improve quite nicely by deluxemapping.
