Whishes lists

like in the old forum my whishes list for the moment:

-new crosshair color independant from the team-color
-force model for ennemies
-brightskin for ennemies
-full/empty filter in the server list menu
-"3/5/10/20 frags combos" and "awfull...." sounds for everybody
-accuracy stat in the end of match
-more life and armor in last man standing mod

Hmm or maybe dont remove in-game helth and armor packs. I think they could be accessible in LMS too. Worth trying. I bet tere are cvars for those?

The first two have server options.. its currently hard/impossible to do this on the client side (except for cheating that is :)). But it his will surely come if CSQC matures enough to use it.
Having those announcer for everyone will be a great mess. I sometimes even wish it would be possible to disable them :) And i think "frag combo" is a strange name...
the last thing is already fixed for the 1.5.1 patch.. 250 health/100 armor at start by default (with cvars)

I'm not sure i think that is a good idea.. Is this tested enough in-game?

I didnt consider force ennemy model and skin is a cheat. Its just for seeing the ennemies. Everybody is grey and if you are in a grey level, you didnt see ennemies. That's frustrating. In quake cpm and rocket arena, ennemies have brightskins.

It didnt affect the hitbox model so no cheating problem for me.

I see what you mean, but it think this should be a server option, so that its all alike for everyone. This option allready exists, and some mods/mutators, like mistagib allready use them.

i think skin coloring needs to be revised. lots of the colors result in halfway invisble players. esp. the midtone colors. skinns also need more contrast.

Nope, it's not :)
But as esteel said: those are cvars, you can change them anytime if you like.
However given the amount of damage Nexuiz' weapons deal i think those numbers are reasonable.

Have you considered making ammo and health/armor packs availabel.. as a cvar :) that would also be interesting LMS.

The reason for me finding it a bit odd with lots of health/armor at the beginning is that if two players are reasonably equal, you will en up with them dyin firs the one so the otherm then the one then the other :) First kill wins iow...

One thing I want in the future is to be able to change enemy color and teamate color (see q4max or other competetive mods). I can't see the enemy :x Because the defult skin is white.. and some maps are white/greyish... :/ Requires csqc for sure.

And that stats thing... aint that best to be done on client? The server would die if it where to collect all that info for all players... but I may be wrong on that. Sure I could manupilate the stats... but I would only fool my self.
But if ppl want to see other players stats, than it must be serverside imo.

I also want speedjumping (look at qw), I want the physics as it is, but with speedjumping, that would rock, would add to the gameplay imo!

Where can i get latest development versions of the source code?

Engine: instructions are available at http://icculus.org/twilight/darkplaces/download.html (you will need a cvs client, beta builds are available here)

Game data: to check out the Nexuiz svn, you'll need a svn client. To check out the repository with a commandline svn client, do

svn co svn://svn.icculus.org/nexuiz/trunk/

To compile the gamecode you need fteqcc. Just download it and run it twice, once in data/menuqc and once in data/qcsrc/server.
