it required a hell of a lot of skill to use with the speed of it and accuracy as well as to not kill yourself with the secondary.

Sry, in a previous post I said it's fixed but it's not, I confused this problem with another related problem with the resolution slider. Or is it still the same?

The max resolution supported by my monitor is 1280xXXX but I've just find out that the drivers of my ATI graphic card allow me to set higher resolutions: in fact they are 1280xXXX. I can see only a part of the screen at once, I have to move the cursor to see the rest of it.

Cuinnton, can u try to change the resolution of your screen (not in Nexuiz) to 1680x1050 and see if it happens the same thing I've said?

EDIT: Neveremind, it's not your case, u have only the background stretched, it surely doesn't depend on what I've said.

As for screen size: cannot get fixed without redesigning the image.

As for the crash: need more info. What kind of crash (Host_Error, or crash to operating system)? Does it happen if you do the same again? What exact crash message?
1. Open Notepad
2. Paste: ÿþMSMSMS
3. Save
4. Open the file in Notepad again

You can vary the number of "MS", so you can clearly see it's MS which is causing it.

I as well think it sucks that the TAG seeker got canned. Consider this:

Nex:

Hitscan
Two Hits for Immediate Kill

TAGS:

Not Hitscan, With Slow "Tag" Projectile
Two Hits for Delayed, Very Avoidable Kill from Rocket Projectiles

So why does the TAG Seeker require no skill but the Nex does? Why was the TAG Seeker removed but the Nex wasn't?

Afaik, the argument was not that it took no skill to use. I was told that Lord Havoc is of the opinion that, since Nexuiz is a fast paced game where aim is very important, a weapon that does most of its damage with automatically aimed rockets is not desired. And although a lot can be said for that, I still regret seeing the weapon go. It was unique and fun.

But the TAGS is the weapon where aim makes the most difference. Aim factors in two-fold:

1) The tag round is a slow projectile with no splash, thus aim is difficult.

2) One of your best defenses against the missiles is to shoot them down as they seek you.

#2 could be enhanced further by making the missiles' hitboxes bigger, so that more of the weapons could do a more reliable job of shooting them down. And give them each only 1 hit point of armor if they didn't already.

Then it is all about aim- can the wielder hit the target with tags faster and more consistently than he can shoot down the salvos? That determines who wins.

Yes, aiming the tag is hard, but the tag does not do any damage. The damage is done by the things that you then don't have to do any effort for. Anyway, I was only telling you what I had heard and I am already giving my own interpretation to it with this post :/

As far as I know the crash was not because of the mutators, but it was my OS (vista). The game sometimes crashes when it can't initialize something graphic related. I think it has to do with my 8800GTX not running OpenGL as well as it should... So false alarm.

As for the menu screen everything works fine just all the backgrounds don't fit to screen. I'm running a 22in monitor with 1650 x 1050 OS res. When I slide the resolution slider the res changes instantly (new to 2.5.2 i assume?) and properly, but only the 4:3 res' allow the background to fit properly. I'm not a programmer but cant you just make it so the background updates and stretches to the right screen size?

Also not sure if its an Easter egg or not but I found when u select the mutator to have a single weapon available, in game if you try to select the laser twice, pressing 1 by default you get the message...

And last of all I don't know about you guys but the current weapon ammo is a bit hard to see in fast paced situations. Maybe it would be better if they took up more of the room available and the selected ammo is always in the same place, and the unselected ones move out of the way.

Or even the selected ammo becomes the size of the hp text

That's normal, maybe u don't know that there is a new "weapon" in 2.5.2, called @!#%'n Tuba, activable pressing twice the laser key.

To try this musical instrument/weapon start a local game, after having executed sv_cheats 1, and execute impulse 99 to get all the weapons, including the @!#%'n Tuba. Have fun! :)
