I wonder if maybe we could 'fix' the new community by making changes to the game, eg. removing taunts, adding in autokicking for predefined phrases (eg, "wtf", "sucks", "newb", "))", etc.), and maybe adding in some sort of probation feature to servers (rather then permanent ban). There's probably other things that could be done, but just something to think about. We want to have some sort of consequence for not being respectful, while removing any encouragement to be disrespectful from the game, basically.

Oh, and also, maybe have an "auto say 'good game' at the end of each match" setting on the client, turned on by default. Just some thoughts on how we could turn things around.

It started with the inclusion of swearing and insults in this game, "electro-bitch" was the first SFX.

Now 2.5 contains a perversive cocktail of disrespect, from minor aspects such as the phrasing used to log frags, to automated taunts intended to incite animosity.

I have not seen anyone say 'GG' these days, even [PB] has changed to a point where /b/-style random disruption has taken precedence over the Peace, and therefore are unable to form players towers from anything but clones...

As disrespect was developed gradually, building new respect will take time and effort.
