I started playing about a month after 2.3 was released.

(But only very recently joined the forums, when I decided it was a good time to start some content creation projects for Nexuiz).

I hate you guys! I HATE YOU! NONE of you mentioned me! I think I will leave the Nexuiz community! Apparently no one remembers me anyway so no big loss there. ;_;

I'm only half active on the servers. I don't play that much Nexuiz anymore. Just popping in on the forums. I think I'm on the downward spiral on my Nexuiz playing. With time maybe it will go up again.

PB was an expansion on the peace concept, that Yellow Robot and I, with an additional player by the name of 'PixelPlast' first invented during a game of 3 player Minstagib DM.

Before [PB} was ever formed, the two of us and 4m used to join crowded Minstagib servers to run & hide, or testing whatever CVar mods I created on my listen server.

We managed to make our first player tower of 7 players on Drechloch, our tower was destroyed many times during that match on aneurysm, before we convinced everyone on the server to join on in forming that monument to the community, at the time.

Nexuiz does not have any issues with attracting more players, as it is in persistent development.

But as Nexuiz changes drastically over time, no one who posts on this forum plays Nexuiz as a day-to-day game anymore, thus community etiquette is not passed on, rather reinvented through every generation.

The type of game influences the type of community, therefore community behaviour is completely dependant on gameplay in the current Nexuiz version.

Based on my theory of Vociferous Syndrome, I believe no one says 'GG' these days because there are no truly good CTF games, it will always to be an personal steamroll over the players.

Vociferous Syndrome is the state that players, other than the best flag runner, are left in after a CTF match, derived this from a sudden rant topic by Vociferous, and his subsequent withdrawal from Nexuiz for multiple months by the deletion of his account.

Is this an inside joke than I'm just on the outside of? You keep making these vague references to a "Monument to the Community" and now a syndrome named after a player.

You could just as easily be reading the evidence backwards- it might be that if the gameplay doesn't continue to evolve and grow, the old guard will get board of playing the same game forever and leave. Stagnation could cause a more draumatic turn over of the player base.

Either way, how much has really changed? The physics are tweaked here and there, the weapons have become more balanced, so what has been lost?
