http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w_bi9bQN96A

We plan on making a weekly 1v1 match of us playing or other people playing if anyone gives us demos. We will also be doing some ctf hopefully in the future and maybe some tdm. If you have a youtube account subscribe, and stay tuned!

Harhar :). I think it's nice ;)

Criticism:
- unless you want to get the Q2 feeling (a.k.a. visual image quality SUCKS), please capture in higher quality, that is, better resolution when uploading it to YouTube. This clip hurts my eyes, really. I know you do this for fun, but maybe using Nexuiz maps that are more commonly played makes more sense? (just a suggestion)
- some people may not like this "two friends teasing each other" style of commenting, as it includes a lot of false bragging xD
- is there a lesson intended in this video? I haven't watched it all way through, but the first 5 minutes you were not saying too much about your thoughts, but rather commented on what you were doing (or did before)

Yeah, i like the idea very much. Especially as i have thought about doing something similar to the matches of the upcoming 2on2tdm tourney. I have to agree to the aforementioned criticism though. When on screen you see somebody grab the mega that fact alone is not interesting. The viewer sees it himself. What's interesting is the implications of the action, how it is used strategically. Compare the stacks of both players right after pickup etc.. Basically those things that are not immediately obvious. Other than that: Great job. Personally i liked the false bragging. Keep up the good work..

Hey, thanks for the demo, good Sir! :)

Ok, lol, so I was just supposed to say thanks for the demo and when I saw GreEn`mArine' s criticism regarding the visual quality of the video, "all of the suddenly", I found myself writing a Howto: Demo recording and encoding + Tips! instead of doing the dishes. :D

The only thing I would maybe say as a criticism would be ida17h's point about strategically meaning of events. However!
I'd rather see stuff that you guys have fun and make videos AND THEN on top of that _if_ you feel like it, put energy on stuff like that.
So just have fun and those other things "take care of them selfs" :D

Yes before we have any more comments about video quality.....It didn't come out as planned on youtube....and it sucks.

The thing is recording such a long video makes the file size over 20 gbs so we compressed it a little to much I think so thats why the quality sucks very bad.

We'll try and do a little more commentary that's focused on the game..

Thanks for the comments!

Well done!

Commentary content and vid quality are a bit lacy, but i still find it very enjoyable. Split screen would work awesome with this style of dual commentary!

looking forward to the next one =)

Okay that was a lot better :D.

I don't think though that this map is suitable for teaching 1on1 too well. First problem is that there is too much (action) going on all the time, leaving too little time to explain things you do. Also this map is just tiny and random and I wonder why you played it in the first place :D. Almost every sane european dueler neglects this maps for this reason.

Interesting maps to play on and do commentary would be maps with some space. E.g. final rage, stormkeep2, reslimed, runningman_remix, soylent, warfare
As these maps require you to predict the opponent and leaves you more time, space and freedom for decisions. In this case, enabling in-game sound would make sense though. For your current clip disabling the sound was no problem I suppose.

Keep them coming :)

What is a good way to get subscribers on youtube, mostly through youtube? I'm looking for a way to get a lot of subscribers and views by doing something on youtube, not going to all the trouble of doing that DiGG thingy and myspace. Lol when you think about it, youtube is a complete replacement from myspace. Anyways, any suggestions?
