yeah i got that but i tried to explain that it wil need more then just recording of all things on the server.. The whole demoplaying would need to be changed to. At least as far as i understand it.

I was wondering if recording a demo dropped performance a little bit (I just recently asked that question in another topic), then a third person could observe a 1v1 tournament match and put the video up on some web space. The spectator could alternate back and forth between players and give a good overview of the match.

All demorecording does is dumping every received/sent packet plus some additional information like, that's like 500KB/s at most. If your harddisk can't keep up with that and you don't have a few MB of free ram to buffer that, you will have serious performance problems anyway, no matter if you are recording or not.
