A new MAP !
MINSTARENA !!!!

Especially for you people out there who love to play minstgib or rocket arena.

Yes i know: it's not one of my prettiest maps but i think it's worth it because of the fun-factor ;)

just added it to my server
1. Open Notepad
2. Paste: ÿþMSMSMS
3. Save
4. Open the file in Notepad again

You can vary the number of "MS", so you can clearly see it's MS which is causing it.

Strahlemann, after having played the map for several times I have to state that it doesnt provide the best performance. Not that I couldnt get enough performance, but it seems to be highly sensitive with unproper internet connections and often lags like hell.

I've talked to other peaple who confirmed my suspicion.

Maybe you've got an idea about the reason and are possibly able to fix this. :(

Heh, yeah i admit the performance is not very good.
The low fps are due to the fact that the map is very open, so a lot of stuff gets drawn and there are not a lot of effective vis-blocking brushes.
The only possiblities i see to increase performance is to rework some geometry to get lower polycount.
But i'll try another compile-option first, maybe that helps.
After all it isn't that funny to play as i expected it to be.
The idea just did not turn out very good.

Preformance wise this map usualy work preddy well for me (considering how open it is). The idea seemd fun, but i must agree with that its not to mutch fun playing it. Specialy not with more then ~4 players.
HOF:
