CTF slowly gets more and more maps that is great!
Nice map! Have to try it later when back home with the grappling hook, i'm sure its fun.

This map is *awesome* for grappling - it reminds me of an idea someone posted a long time ago, about having a Spiderman map with large building specifically for grappling.

There have been questions why the street names in the map are German... and if this is Berlin, near Alexanderplatz.

To answer this - yes, it is a slight parody of Berlin before the reunification. However, the "wall" is a bit ridiculuous here (actually, maybe the wall will be much larger in a later version of the map and cover the whole map size with some holes at expected and unexpected places to improve rendering speed, but I am not sure since I think this would make the camping issue even worse...)

And we in Germany have drunk drivers (but if they get caught, they lose their license), and "no parking" signs don't really keep drivers from parking there (however, people usually don't park their car with two wheels in the air and one on a trash bin...)

And the street names... well, they are totally irrelevant, so they could be German - names built like these are absolutely typical in Germany, and all but one actually exist. I'll try to translate the names here...

Lange Straße = Long Street
Rothenburgweg = Rothenburg Alley (Rothenburg is a name; translating it literally however yields Red Castle Alley)
Blauhimmelsweg = Blue Sky Way (or in Nexuiz, bluesky way )
Karl-Marx-Straße = Karl Marx Street
Smithstraße = Smith Street (named after Adam Smith, no idea if there is a street in Germany named after THIS Smith, but it should count as the opposite of Karl Marx)
An der Mauer = At the Wall

Only Blauhimmelsweg doesn't exist anywhere in Germany, but I needed something with "Blau" (blue) in it...

BTW, "Lange Straße", "Karl-Marx-Straße" even exist in Berlin, the others apparently don't.

The building names, however, are not German. This is so everyone can read them. Most of them however name buildings nobody sane would enter and/or which are puns or oxymorons. For example, Detective Agency Kleptor - what was kleptomania again? Does a church really have its place in communism? Could you sleep in "Dr. Charlatan's House of Health"? Would you borrow money at "SHARK Loans, Inc." or deposit some at "Rupt Bank"?

And hope you didn't misread the "THERAPISTSIGMUNDFREUD" sign...

The map doesn't actually represent a place of Berlin. I was only there once. And for sure I haven't seen a place like that...

Looking at the screenshot, this map doesn't look at all like other maps that are in the game. Instead of having a futuristic, realistic look, it's very cartoonish. Perhaps a modified version of the map with different textures, etc. could be included in the game.

Yes, this map is meant as a "continuation" of Fragcity, which is in the same style and entirely by Morphed. Fragcity is available at http://141.2.16.3:7780/nex/maps/inoffic ... y-nex2.pk3

The maps do share textures, but are compatible - I put modified stuff in another directory to avoid name collisions.
