i 'was' (it somehow cooked itself, i think the fan broke so i'm waiting a replacement) using a brand new dell laptop with the centrino duo proc, it didn't have any kind of variable thing that i new of but then again i didn't have it very long to play with it anyway before it broke, grr.
But when i get it back i'll try the options you guys gave me, and maybe your right about the practice thing, hehe i hope not but... maybe

Nexuiz is in a genre of games that are "fast" - like Quake and Unreal Tournament. People move very quickly and it's harder to aim at them than in other FPS games. There are powerups that you wouldn't find in other games like quad damage (AKA "strength"), and there's no reloading. There are tactics that aren't in other FPS genres like rocketjumping. With a bit of practice you'll get used to the fast speed and different gameplay of the genre.

However, all this doesn't mean it isn't fun to play at slowmo...

slowmo 0.7 is fun and allows everyone better control, might be useful for videos.

Also fun the other way around. I remember there was a server once that was freaked out on speed. Was that the same server that had the tuned uberfast weapons?
