I can only give additional text hints here, since I'm at work and unable to do demos here anyway
First of all, most longer movement-paths should start with a kind of jump ("circlejump") that will give you most acceleration for the beginning. these jumps are actually the ones you can e.g. do on darkzone at the rocketlauncher (the one close to the armor, not the one at the MH). esteel showed these jumps in his demopacks, too. if you manage to get over all these big gaps (also the one where the mortar is) you are able to do the first jump properly.
However, of course it's the best for your speed to strictly keep on using these circlejumps, but from what I experience all this requires too much concentration on which movement keys to press at which time and when to move the mouse for xx degrees, etc. I think that this is a bit unusable in 1on1s, where you should also be focused on aiming if the enemy suddenly pops up
Thats why I rather press the forward button all the time and additionally pressing the strafebuttons when chaning my direction. This gives me also a huge speed but allows me to focus on my crosshair/enemy.
And btw, to do the jump on runningman at the hagar you won't need so much speed. Of course it's better to have fast speed, but it is not required.
What I know actually realised is how effective the "keeping-speed-through-teleporter" feature can be (ab)used
