what many people stops to have a further look into nexuiz (after they tried it) is the bad performance. not all of them had the "prejudice", knowing that nexuiz came from Q1-engine and they did not expect Q1 alike performance, but the performance they got was too weak. I don't have well performance either (e.g. on FFA) because I have an ATI card, although this (using ATi card) should not be an argument (for commercial games it is usually no argument or limitation at all). So optimizing the performance for maps, models (by redoing them) and the engine in general should be the most important thing at the moment, beside finally getting CSQC to work (which will help to improve performance additionally).

Once Nexuiz runs better I'm sure that more people will play it, and the people who play it now are the ones who don't care playing with 20 FPS (that are the ones who play with 12+ people on a 1on1 map, where I do get massive frame drops as well, so....)

warsow is quite cool, i wish i could give a more non-sided oppinion and attention to the game, but ive not played it enough, but i had some very nice 2on2 games before.

One thing i dont like, is the fact it just feels really sluggish to gain speed at the start myself compared to cpma...i really hate the rockets for some reason, i just feel like im not connecting with anything when i hit someone... i really do prefer cpma still like esteel said it's complete unlike warsow.

I play w§w duel since the release of version 0.06 - about one year ago.
I'm not concerned about the speed gain at the start, since I almost always start a bunnyhop with a dash instead of a circlejump (which I have never completely mastered even after many years of Quake 3 experience) :mrgreen:
I consider myself kind of happy with w§w's movement. I like the idea of CPM-style tricks and air control + UT-style dodges and walljumps.
I agree with kojn on rockets. They feel underpowered, even the strong ones.
I also think that the strong electrobolt - w§w's "railgun" - should deal a bit less damage.
I cannot think about other bad things about w§w - apart from a lack of TDM/CTF maps and playermodels - it's a nice game and it's fun if you play with the right people. :)

I never played Alien Arena, and I won't comment on it until I've tried it out. :mrgreen:
