[MAP]Gretawall RELOADED!

After eliminating a nasty bug, I've finally finished the remake of the well known and popular CTF map from Shoe, and the outcome is:

Greatwall RELOADED!

Things changed
    *The whole geometry. I had to rebuild the whole map from scratch, tho I tried to stay as true as possible to the original map.
    *Moved two spawn point out of base.
    Added more weapons, the map includes now: machine gun, crylink, electro, hagar, rocket launcher, nex gun, grenade launcher.
    *Added more weapons and health.
    *Moved the nex gun out of the bunkers. Maybe this step will be unpopular, but the gameplay simply reduced to instagib, as everybody always grabbed only the nex, it was too easy to reach. However, it's not harder not to get it, but you'll have to walk for it a lot I tell you ;).
    *Added a walkway that connects the two sides under the Great Wall.
    *Added some eye candy :)


The only three things pulling me back from releasing, is that I still need to add waypoints for the bots, position markers, and packing the stuff up. This should be done today some time, so stay tuned! ;)

Just wow! This looks very good. I might even forgive you the bad fps in the latest facingworlds version if this one turns out as good as i expect it to do :P.
Do the jumppads ontop of the wall serve any purpose? as the nex lays on the floor one can just walk or laserjump to it.

@esteel: why'd you laserjump and loose health, when you can do wo it too?

@SavageX: nope, those plants remained from Noobmaps, and try to loook like alien plants :)

Very nice take on greatwall :) I really like how you made the "wall" seem more wall-like than I did (the name greatwall was really just left over from an idea that was just a wall in the middle of a map, before I added the lava).

The only suggestion I can think of is maybe getting a better grass texture, but that's just because I've grown tired of the one I found when I made the map ;) Also, have you ever considered adding an underwater tunnel? ;)

Underwater tunnel? You'll see something you wish in cb_ctf2 ;)
I'm glad you like the remake of the map. I have to say, the original idea is very good, and fun to play. So gj you too :)

The people on my server (me included) liked it too.
1. Open Notepad
2. Paste: ÿþMSMSMS
3. Save
4. Open the file in Notepad again

You can vary the number of "MS", so you can clearly see it's MS which is causing it.

In general, it's a good map.
Though, I feel it's extremely nex-oriented because there are limited weapons (unless I'm somehow overlooking them). Is there a rocket launcher anywhere?

There is a rocketlauncher.. 'on top' of the door into the base.. walkup the stairs left and right of it.. and there are lots of weapons.. two mortars on the wall, in the small niches/alcoves in the wall are electros, in the base and bunker machineguns, crylink and elector iirc. And in the open space before the base are at least 3 guns.. and of course the nexgun.
And the same thing goes for the other side..
