I think the colors should stay consistent to the overall winner vs loser of the entire match, but as you see here, it changes for the winner of each map.

of course it changes, this is intentional

the winner and loser are colored because of the TOTAL score, the mapscores for each map are colored due to the score of the single map, all intentional, all fine imo

I think it all should be colored to the overall match winner & loser

In otherwords, both map results should match the color of the player name at the top. Its easy enough for everybody to tell which number is higher than the other ;)

Otherwise there is really no point in using color in my opinion, as there is no true symetry.

I thought about ths yeterday too. It migh be a little confusing.

The coloring that green is used for winning cound and red for losing is used throughly tru the ladder, iirc the total score is how as red if the challenger loses, and green if the challenged loses too. This is a good and throuly worked out thing.

However, I find the coloring practice a little unusial an dsome times confusing. I think it would be easier to read the lists as a whois lf the colors followed the users (green for challenger red for challenged) throughuot, insted of the current use. that means also in the score and matches list.

However this would break the w-d-l lists, maybe a better solution would be to use other colors on the match details pages? I dont know that seems messy too.

The wictory-draw-loss colors are well used on most pages, but seemingly a lil confusing on the match details page.

blame the Eliza effect ofr this :)

Edit:

When I think about it Willis' suggestion is a good one.. make the color follow the winner and loser on the match details page. Tha would not break the usage as of now, only enhance it.

Ok, it appears we are running around in a cloud of confusion.

I'll try to explain this better.

Firstly, we have a challenger and a challenged.
This is very consistantly indicated by challenger on the left and challenged on the right. This is correct

Now, we have the match page.
The match page, at the top, lists the overall match winner in green and the loser in red. The total frags match this. This is correct.

Then you have each individual match. As it stands now, the winner of the map is labeled in green weither they won the entire match or not. I feel this is wrong. I think this should stay consistant with the overall match winner. Even if the winner lost on one map, they are in whole, considered the winner, and I think for better consistancy, individual map results should reflect that.

Having the colors switch to the map winner makes it very hard for use to add up totals or tell which belongs to who (the coloring is really far more noticable than the challenger vs challeged layout in my opinion).
