Some people seem to be bothered by the way the ELO points are calculated. This is because there are some maps that simply don't allow that high scores than other maps. Someone might win nexdm01 with about 100 frags, while nexdm07 won't usually have >15 frags on one side.
Some people suggest that it would be rather fair that the ELO points are calculated for each map. You can win map no. 1 with e.g. 30:15 and then lose map no.2 with 4:8
You can now say that the match was "equal" because map "1" was won with ratio 2:1 and map "2" was lost with ratio 1:2, so this should lead to 0 ELO points. with the current method the scores would be added (would be 34:23) and the ELO points would be +5 for the challenger.
The new method would calculate ELO points for map "1", calculate it for map "2", add them and divide them by 2 and then finally round the ELO points (they will be floating numbers in the internal calculation)
Current ELO calculation: ELO points = calculated ELO points of TOTAL SCORE
New ELO calculation: (ELO Points for map "1" + ELO points for map "2") / 2
What ever this poll's result will be, the matches that have been played so far will not be changed backwards anymore, they will stay the way they are.
