Old Rocket Model

I was just wondering if using the old rocket launcher model was against ladder rules

Which old Rocket model? I only know of two, one big hanking pipe with "warning/hazard" stripes, and a smaller one made by Qan-something (it has a little antenna sticking out).

But to answer your question I think using the latest version of Nexuiz is the only allowed version to be played on ladder. Meaning you cannot change models and such.

I am using the one with the antenna, just figuring what I all need to change before I sign up for the Ladder

The one with the antenna isn't the "old" model, it's a custom one. The rules say you have to play with the default weapons and that's why you're not allowed to use it. Btw you have quite an advantage with the custom RL as it doesn't cut your field of view as much as the default one.

If you want to join the ladder without changing your current installation, just use a second installation with the original download file and paste over your config.cfg and the autoexec.cfg

'r_drawviewmodel 0', a ladder approved command that grants even more of a FOV advantage than the custom RL model.
