Weapon Poll!

What's your favorite weapon? Now obviously this will vary from map to map, but what's that one piece of death that makes you feel all comfy when you pick it up? And why do you like it? And how do you use it? What are its pros and cons? Mine would have to be the Rocket Launcher, although I have a love/hate relationship with it. It works great in all but the closest quarters with the alternate fire mode, but I kill myself all the time.

I pretty much like all weapons (except the crylink). I like the rocket launcher very much, that's my favorite. My second one is he electro, especially the combo. That realy deals a lot damage, masteeing it realy needs some practice, but the WOW factor is hight too
Once I was a good railer, so I like to pick up the Nex too, tho I'm not as good with it as I once was.

I voted Nex. But then I remembered Nex has longer refire rate now So I think Mortar is my real favorite Mortar is fast and that is the main advantage.

Fastest way to get rid of rocket ammo, and the explosions are very nice too.

I think that the Nex has the best weapon model, aside from the laser, as of now- especially if it is in gunmetal black. It looks very badass. If a person is backed up against a wall, the hagar is the most awsome, cuz you can blow them into oblivion wit its splash dmg, and its got some great sounds, and neat effects (projectiles and explosions). Im not a fan of teh model for the electro, but it is admittedly an awsome weapon. I kind of wish the electro had the crylink model, but...

Pretty much the only weapon I can ever pull of a "rage" or better with is the nex, and only after downing some pixie stix, so thats what I put.

different weapons have different strategies. I chose the RL because I seem to do the best with it, but if you are in a small room, you would not use it. You'd use the nex, or shotgun, or crylink. The morter or electro comes in handy when escaping down a hallway, just drop a few and run. So, there are alot of my favorites, but one of them I least use is the crylink.

Gotta go with the shotgun. Joining a well populated server late doesn't give you a lot of opportunity to pick up another weapon before encountering a player—so you have to be comfy with what you start with. I rarely use the primary fire, but the secondary fire is just devastating if you're confident and don't back down. People don't expect you to rush them when you have the SG and they've got an RL or Nex. It's really easy to underestimate how effective that SG can be.

It used to be the Nex, but not so much since it got nerfed The Electro is fun, though.

I guess I don't understand the Electro at all, because it seems worthless to me but everyone else frags the living daylights out of each other with it. I guess it's a Nex + Mortar, right? Just seems really hard to use.

The primary fire is closer to the RL than the Nex. The real magic comes in the combo of firing a bunch of secondary balls and then shooting them with the primary. If you haven't discovered that trick yet, try it; it's pretty nice
